People are asking for “wedgies” at Red Robin. Here’s why.
In 2016, getting a “wedgie” is going to be a good thing. The restaurant Red Robin is taking back the word and redefining it with their new menu item, a burger called the Wedgie. And it’s totally not what you think it is!
Now, this is not your ordinary burger. Something amazing happens when you order one for someone else. No, Red Robin won’t be serving up actual wedgies, but a portion of the proceeds will be donated to charity. And if that’s not enough, it’s one of the restaurant’s healthier options—the entire burger is only 450 calories.
So far, people aren’t exactly sure WHAT to think about the Wedgie Burger…
But back to the wonderful part—the charity component. The restaurant is supporting the DUDE. be nice Project. If you send a friend (or yourself!) an e-gift card that goes toward buying a Wedgie burger, a portion of that sale will benefit the project that thanks people for making the world a better place. Basically, it’s a huge win-win: someone gets to enjoy delicious food, and DUDE. be nice gets some support.
The Wedgie is available on menus now. It’s served on a lettuce wedge bun and topped with guacamole, bacon, tomato and onions. So if one of your New Year’s resolutions is to eat right or get fit, make your way to Red Robin!
