This website will give you a pep talk literally any time you need it
We all have those days. Those days when it’s a little harder to feel self-confident, when it sounds easier to go back to bed than to face your life. Those days when it feels like Monday on a Thursday, and you need an extra little boost to bog through it. Well, now there is a magical website that can help.
The gals over at Babe Vibes have invented a state-of-the-art Pep Talk Generator that shares inspiration and motivation, one paragraph at a time. The site’s design is simple and calming, while each dose of pep is different. Some are just straight-up positivity, while others fiercely encourage readers not to give up when life/love/work gets difficult. In a weird way, when read at the right place, right time, these pep talks feel almost like wisdom inside of fortune cookies.
The idea for Pep Talk Generator came to creator and editor of Babe Vibes, Kara Haupt, last year after the success of 45 Pep Talks, a zine that chronicles forty-five days of Kara writing pep talks to herself. “I knew I wanted to create a digital experience,” Kara said. “I emailed hundreds of women I admire and asked if they’d be willing to contribute a pep talk, written for themselves or for other women.”
This means that each niblet of goodness shown in the Pep Talk Generator comes from a real person – how inspiring is that?
It took Kara and her collaborator, Paige Lewis, about a month to gather all of the pep talks, design the generator, and get it working. After being live for less than a day, the project is already getting so much love on social media. With a pep talk at the click of a button, anyone can feel less alone.
The Pep Talk Generator isn’t only an awesome tool for overcoming anxiety or finding a small pick-me-up during a tough day – it’s an important reminder of the great things women can do when they support each other rather than tear each other down. Maybe the program will help girls remember to be Pep Talk Generators for each other IRL.
