We love the nickname Billie Lourd gave to Debbie Reynolds, because grandma just wasn’t cool enough

It’s hard losing someone who has been such a force in your life. All of our love and thoughts are with Billie Lourd who lost her mom, Carrie Fisher and her grandma, Debbie Reynolds, within a day of each other. Fisher died due to complications of a heart attack on December 27 and Reynolds passed away the very next day after suffering a stroke.

As all of us try to work through the grief and emotions of the world without these two powerful women, it’s clear that the bond Lourd had with both her mom and her grandma was incredible.

Having a great relationship with your grandma isn’t something we all get to experience, but by the looks of it, Lourd had a great one with Reynolds. Lourd often shared photographs and memories with Reynolds on her social media channel and through that we learned the awesome nickname Lourd gave to Reynolds, because grandma just didn’t seem to fit the iconic Debbie Reynolds.

“Happy birthday to my #abadaba, Lourd writes on Instagram with a photo of her with Reynolds. “Yes that's what I call her hahah granny just wasn't hip enough...) the most incredible grandma a gal could ask for, she continued.

Sending all our love and well-wishes to Billie as she grieves.
