A wax museum in Ireland unveiled a really, really bad Daenerys figure, and the internet is having a meltdown
IOHO, the mark of true celebrity is getting a terrifyingly bad wax figure made in your likeness. International superstars from Beyoncé to Lady Gaga have been “honored” with waxworks that look nothing like them, and now, the National Wax Museum Plus in Dublin, Ireland has unveiled a new wax figure of Daenerys Targaryen (aka Emilia Clarke)…and it’s um, questionable.
The museum announced its new addition on April 24th to a lot of fanfare. But something about the figure—which is perched on the Iron Throne—just feels off. Take a look:
Fans wasted no time in utterly and completely roasting the figure.

Some pointed out that it did resemble other fantasy characters.

According to the Daily Mail, the wax figure of Daenerys took about six months to complete. And she’s not the only Game of Thrones character who will be joining the museum. A waxwork of Ser Davos Seaworth, who’s portrayed by Irish actor Liam Cunningham, will reportedly be on display soon.
Hopefully the new figure is a little more, um, accurate.
