Watching this 4-year old girl decide whether or not to share her chocolate is way more intense than you expect

One of the most bittersweet aspects of the holiday season is learning to share. Yes, we all love presents and cool goodies, but sharing said treasures? Not as much fun all the time. Especially when we’re kids we can so relate to that feeling of not wanting to share at all, but knowing we had to or else. That’s why watching this little cutie Skylar learn this hard lesson is as heartbreaking as it is adorable. Skylar is a participant on a British TV show called The Secret Life of 4, 5, and 6 Year Olds (which sounds like the most amazing show tbh), and she is faced with this incredibly hard dilemma:

Do you have to share something even when you really really don’t feel like it?

We’ve all been there, so it’s a little hard to watch. Adorable Skylar has the good fortune of getting some chocolate. In a total rookie move, she reveals her good fortune to the group of kids she’s with. (Rule #1 of not sharing when you don’t feel like, never reveal your treasure!) Once the other kids realize she has some, they want in on the candy.

Skylar however, is having a tiny, adorable mini existential crisis as she grapples with the prospect of sharing, even when she doesn’t want to.

Step 3: Still kind stuck on disbelief

Oh Skylar, we’re so sorry that you’re learning this terrible lesson so young.

As if this couldn’t get any more heartbreaking, before Skylar could even figure out her feelings on sharing, a big bully swoops in and steals her chocolate!

So not only does she have to learn about sharing, she has to deal with bullies?

Needless to say it was a long ordeal for poor, adorable Skylar, and we’re seriously hoping that she has gotten some candy of her very own, because she definitely deserves it!
