Watch this video of Serena Williams playing tennis while pregnant if you need some #girlboss inspiration
When she isn’t busy making music videos with bestie Beyoncé and planning future playdates for their children, you’ll probably find Serena Williams on a tennis court…even while pregnant. Yes. The seven-months pregnant tennis champ, who won the Australian Open while with child, might be taking a break professionally, but that doesn’t mean she’s putting down her racket any time soon.
Serena and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian announced their engagement in December after nearly two years of dating. Then in April, Serena accidentally shared her pregnancy news via Snapchat by sharing a selfie in a yellow swimsuit, which showed off her baby bump. In the caption, she simply wrote, “20 weeks.” See, she’s just like us, we haven’t fully mastered Snapchat either. But we also can’t call ourselves the best tennis player in the world…
Serena Jameka Williams proved (yet again) why she’s the best with an Insta-vid of herself playing tennis while super pregnant. Major #girlboss inspiration alert.
The video shows Williams playing a slightly less action-packed game than we’re used to, which is probably a good thing because “baby on board,” and creating new life is a whole lot of work on its own. But just look at that backhand!
The couple is expecting to welcome their bundle of joy into the world in autumn, but from the looks of it they’re taking full advantage of their baby-free time until then.
As for the sex of the Williams-Ohanian baby, we’ll just have to wait and see. Serena said she has no idea what the sex of her baby is, and she doesn’t even want to find out until she actually gives birth.
"I think the surprise of knowing what you are going to have on that very special day you give birth is the best surprise you can ever have!" Williams wrote in a Twitter post.
