Get ready for your new fave reality show, because we just found out that Whoopi Goldberg has officially partnered with Slay Model Management, the first exclusively trans modeling agency, to bring Strut. And we’re *so* ready for it. A reality show about trans models, the show is set to debut in September, and it looks AMAZING.
According to Fashionista, Strut will follow five trans models as they try to make it to the top of the industry without losing themselves in the process.The talented and diverse cast, which includes Isis King, the first trans model to compete in America’s Next Top Model, promises to make Strut a fall fave.
This show is so much more than another reality show.
Whoopi Goldberg explained why she feels so passionate about Strut, and what it means to highlight trans models on mainstream media.
“This show is important right now, because for all of the positive advances the community has made and continues to make, transgender is still a hot-button word that gets people hysterical.” she said.
