Watch three “Harry Potter” stars take the Pottermore Patronus quiz and discover their true wizard selves
It’s no secret that we love all things Harry Potter. So naturally, we love that three Harry Potter stars took the Pottermore Patronus quiz to discover their inner wizarding spirit animals. Not only did they take the Patronus quiz — they did it on camera so the entire world could watch. Bless.
Knowing your Patronus is a pretty big deal. According to Pottermore, “The Patronus is the most famous (and famously difficult) defensive charm. The aim is to produce a silvery-white guardian or protector, which takes the form of an animal. The exact form of the Patronus will not be apparent until the spell has been successfully cast.”
When Pottermore first released the quiz last fall, people had some pretty funny reactions to learning their Patronus. J.K. Rowling shared that her Patronus is a Heron. Evanna Lynch, the actress who plays Luna Lovegood, (reluctantly) shared that hers is a salmon.
And now, we know three more!
Matthew Lewis, who plays Neville Longbottom, was surprised to learn that his Patronus is a tortoiseshell cat.
“It’s cute! Thanks Jo,” he said, giving J.K. Rowling a little shoutout upon learning his result.
Tom Felton, aka Draco Malfoy, had a very similar result: a ragdoll cat.
“Where’s my fire-breathing dragon?” he asked with a laugh.
And Warwick Davis, who plays Griphook and Professor Flitwick, was a weasel.
“I’m quite happy with that. Weasels are cute, they’re crafty,” he said. “Perfect Patronus. It’s quite cute!”
We think all three Patronuses are pretty perfect fits!
Although…
I just wish @TheRock was my Patronus.
