Watch a new teaser trailer for the “Love Actually” sequel, and prepare to lose all chill

Guys, the moment has come, and we’re totally freaking out about it: The first teaser for the Love Actually sequel has been released, and PLS CAN WE HAVE IT NOW!?

It was announced last month that (nearly all) the cast of Love Actually were reuniting for sequel, and essentially we lost all our chill. The 10-minute short film is being made in partnership with Comic Relief, a UK-based charity that raises awareness for poverty and social injustices around the world, and will be titled Red Nose Day Actually. 

In fact, we’ve already had a glimpse of Hugh Grant reprising his role as the Prime Minister, and now we’ve been gifted with a video teaser for the special mini-movie.

In a new clip shared by the BBC, we get a look at Andrew Lincoln’s character, Mark, and it seems those cards are back.

In the clip, Lincoln pays homage to his controversial scene from the original movie by holding up handwritten cue cards encouraging people to tune into the Comic Relief telecast to catch the special reunion on March 24th.

Indeed, in a behind-the-scenes feature in The Guardian about the reunion, it was also teased that there would be a followup scene to Mark’s handwritten card wielding moment where something super exciting is revealed (no spoilers here, we’re afraid).

The upcoming sequel is set to see the majority of the cast return with Rowan Atkinson, Marcus Brigstocke, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Keir Charles, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley,  Martine McCutcheon, Lucia Moniz, Kate Moss, Liam Neeson, Bill Nighy, Olivia Olson, and, of course, Andrew Lincoln all appearing.

However, it was announced that Emma Thompson’s character wouldn’t be making an appearance following the sad passing of her on-screen husband, Alan Rickman, last year.

“It’s absolutely right because it’s supposed to be for Comic Relief,” Thompson said about the decision. “There isn’t much comic relief in the loss of our dear friend really, only just over a year ago.”

Meanwhile, the Love Actually sequel, Red Nose Day Actually airs in the UK on BBC One on March 24th. We can’t wait.
