Watch the beautifully animated title sequence for Ryan Murphy’s “Feud”
If there’s one show that we’re super excited about, it’s Ryan Murphy’s latest anthology series Feud.
Joining the likes of American Horror Story and American Crime Story, Feud was announced last August and is the third anthology series by prolific producer and showrunner Ryan Murphy. Tbh, it’s safe to say that this show sounds absolutely BONKERS. Feud is set to follow the iconic, well, feud between Hollywood legends Bette Davis and Joan Crawford during the filming of Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?
Jessica Lange, a favorite of Ryan Murphy’s, is playing Joan Crawford, while Susan Sarandon is playing Bette Davis. And, from the teaser trailers we’ve seen, it looks absolutely marvellous. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6gL-Jtu_ZQ
Now we’ve got a taste of the show’s stunning title sequence to get us even more pumped.
Now, Ryan Murphy’s shows are known for their eerie but stunning opening sequences. From the scratching creepiness of American Horror Story to the gorgeous but ominous opening credits of Nip/Tuck, he knows how to add a sense of occasion and drama to what are already dramatic shows.
As Entertainment Weekly note, the animated title sequence oozes old school Hollywood glamor, and sees two women attempting to off one another and fight. It’s absolutely beautiful, and paints a rather dramatic story of what’s to come in the upcoming show.

Speaking about Feud, Ryan Murphy told EW that he wanted to avoid the cliché and campy representations of Bette Davis and Joan Crawford that one normally sees.
“I wasn’t interested in just doing this broad, campy [show], he said. "I was interested in the idea of sexism, ageism, misogyny. Turning 40, 45, 50 and feeling like you’re at the height of your powers and people saying, ‘Well, you’re done.'
Tbh, we can’t *wait* to see Feud. With a cast that boasts Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon, we’re pretty sure it’s going to be incredible. Also, Ryan Murphy hardly ever disappoints.
Feud comes to FX on March 5th.
