Just bought this dress because I can’t resist a UO sale, and I also can’t resist a good summer-y maxi dress. The bright stripes and relaxed fit are all very “It’s 90 degrees and I do not care” fashion, which I am all about right now.

“The Idiot” by Elif Batuman, $17.70

I’m currently reading this book, and it’s taking me back to all kinds of nostalgic places. Set in the ’90s, protagonist Selin is a first-generation Turkish teen who is figuring out who she is while at Harvard. Her deadpan Daria humor and keen observations will leave you silently laughing and also wishing you could go back to college for a couple hours just to re-experience the weirdness of it all.

Caudalie French Kiss Tinted Lip Balm, $18

I went to the Streicher sister’s Bastille Day party Friday night at Striiike salon, where I got to try the newly-launched French Kiss Tinted Lip Balm from Caudalie. I wrote a piece about it today, because these balms are so good they made me bypass a cheese plate. Read about it here.
