WANT/NEED: The rosé I sipped all National Rosé Day, and more stuff you want to buy

Welcome to Want/Need, a daily roundup of the things our Deputy Editor, Emily Popp, is currently coveting. It might be a pair of pink leather loafers that make her feel like she’s got her s*#t together, or a pool float in the shape of an avocado (because she’s not over the novelty pool float trend). Or maybe it’s as random as, like, dryer sheets. Basically this is all the stuff she’s obsessed with. Poppy’s picks, if you will.

Conde Valdemar Rosé

National Rosé Day was Saturday, June 9th, and you bet yer a$$ I celebrated by enjoying a nice cold glass of delicious rosé this weekend. My vino of choice? Conde Valdemar. It’s bright and effervescent, and a glass of this magical stuff makes me feel like I’m floating on one of those Instagram-bait swan floats in a trendy Palm Springs hotel pool. It’s basically bottled summer, y’all.

Bastide Huile Seche Epatante Dry Oil Mist

I never realized how amazing dry oils can be until I tried this one from Bastide and immediately wanted to do a twirl, alone, in my bedroom. I was like, “Oooooooooooo!” Translation? This is a dang good dry oil. It has this fabulous scent with notes of macadamia nut and orange blossom. I spritzed it on arms and legs, and it just immediately made my entire body feel supple and soft. I also spritzed some on my palms and ran through the ends of my hair to smooth and hydrate. I’ve used it all week, so I have a feeling this is going to be one of those things I use down to the very last drop. It just has that “expensive New York City spa” feel, which I love. At $52 it’s a bit of a splurge, but it really is worth its price tag if you’re looking for a fabulous, luxury-level dry oil.

JOIE Deviled Egg Maker

I never turn down a deviled egg. It’s one of my all-time favorite appetizers. It’s like, 50 percent mayonnaise, what’s not to love? Our Entertainment Editor, Rachel, received this in the mail the other day and my eyes got as big as saucers…or rather, as big as two hard boiled eggs. She was like, “Do you want this?” And I think I might have squealed with glee. I can’t wait to bust this baby out and make a platter of my famous Poppy’s Pickled Deviled Eggs.

Splat 30 Wash Original Kit in “Lightening Bleach”

The office here at HG is filled with fun and bright hair colors like pink, green, and purple. I just have plain old, regular old blonde hair and I’ve never experimented with a different shade in all my three decades. If I were really going bold I might go for pink (my signature color), but that might be a bit much for my first hair dye experience. I think I’ll dip my toe in with this “Lightening Bleach” shade. I’m already blonde, so I think it would show up pretty well and give me that ice blonde hair I’ve been daydreaming about for a while, but that I’ve just been too chicken to actually try. If I do get the courage to dye my hair, I don’t want to cough up the cash at an expensive salon, so experimenting with a box kit is much lower-risk. Splat’s hair kits come with everything you need for a DIY dye job: dye, beach, gloves and instructions. The color is semi permanent, and can last up to 30 washes.

Reformation Elio Dress

To me, this is the quintessential day-to-night summer dress.
