WANT/NEED: A key lime pie-scented candle (because it’s the best damn pie), and more stuff you want to buy
Welcome to Want/Need, a daily roundup of the things our Deputy Editor, Emily Popp, is currently coveting. It might be a pair of pink leather loafers that make her feel like she’s got her s*#t together, or a pool float in the shape of an avocado (because she’s not over the novelty pool float trend). Or maybe it’s as random as, like, dryer sheets. Basically this is all the stuff she’s obsessed with. Poppy’s picks, if you will.
Edwards Lime Light Candle
My love of key lime pie has been well-documented; it’s just the best damn pie there is. And so, clearly, I am obsessed with this key lime pie-scented candle from the dessert geniuses over at Edwards. My apartment can smell like a slice of delicious key lime pie? Um, yes please.
String Theory by Hanson
Right next to key lime pie on the list of “My Very Favorite Things” is the musical stylings of Hanson. They were my first concert back in 1997 during their Middle of Nowhere tour, and they’re still producing great music, y’all. Their new album, String Theory, drops tomorrow, and it’s a mix of new and old songs of theirs, but they’re all backed by a full orchestra. If you think I won’t be playing the orchestral version of “Where is the Love” on repeat for the rest of the calendar year, then you don’t know the first thing about me.
Sincerely Jules by Scünci Velvet Scrunchies
I’m willing to admit when I’m wrong. And something I have completely changed my position on is scrunchies. When they first started coming back in stye, I was like, nah…this’ll never catch on. And here I am, a scrunchie-wearing fool. I love them because they don’t give my hair that dreaded “elastic crease.” Sincerely Jules has a new collab with Scünci that is super cute, and this set of two is just $6.99…ya can’t beat that price with a stick!
Slash Objects Round Placemat in Royal
My kitchen table has a white surface, so I’ve realized that I really need to invest in some placemats. These rubber ones look pretty sturdy, but they’re also super fancy.
Prima Designs Hedgehog Cookie Jar
Who took the cookie from the hedgehog cookie jar? I did. I took it.
