La Mer Crème de la Mer
La Mer has been on my bucket list for years. Almost every celebrity swears by this moisturizer, and it’s been around since the dinosaurs. But the price tag deterred me (even though I’ve spent more on way dumber shit), so I’ve held off from buying. But then one day, La Mer sent me a bottle (thanks to Sr. Beauty Editor Marie Lodi), and my skin hasn’t been the same. It truly does feel and look different — clearer, softer, better.
I even had engagement pics taken on Instagram, because my relationship with La Mer is worthy of celebration.
Feminist Baby by Loryn Brantz
Buzzfeed’s Loryn Brantz (you may recognize her from those viral “If Disney Princesses Had Real Human Features” illustrations — those were all originally hers) came out with Feminist Baby, a book for feminist babies. It’s the best, and I’m gifting this to my toddler niece the next time I see her, because she needs to learn how to start taking down the patriarchy already.
