WANT/NEED: Carb-themed chocolates (because bread is the best Valentine), and more stuff you want to buy

Welcome to Want/Need, a weekly roundup of the things our Deputy Editor, Emily Popp, is currently coveting. It might be a pair of pink leather loafers that make her feel like she’s got her s*#t together, or a pool float in the shape of an avocado (because she’s not over the novelty pool float trend). Or maybe it’s as random as, like, dryer sheets. Basically this is all the stuff she’s obsessed with. Poppy’s picks, if you will.
Citi Sound Vault x Trevor “Trouble” Andrew Capsule Collection
OK, so this is a departure from my typical Want/Needs. I usually include tangible things versus experiences, but this one I had recently was too dang good to pass up gushing about. Live Nation and Citi Bank teamed up to create the Citi Sound Vault, hosting three badass concerts at the iconic Hollywood Palladium this month. I had the opportunity to see Muse live there, which was pretty freaking incredible, and that’s an understatement. Muse sells out massive stadiums, so to see them so up close in such an intimate setting was mind-blowing. The other two Citi Sound Vault concerts that I didn’t see were Pink and Chris Stapleton. So yeah, we’re talking freaking hugely popular musicians playing in a theater that seats max 5,000. It’s not every day that happens. What made this whole experience all the cooler, however, was that there is a charitable thread to it all. Artist Trevor “Trouble” Andrew created a limited edition Citi Sound Vault capsule collection (pictured below), which was on display and available for purchase during all three concerts.
Net proceeds from all sales benefit Musicians on Call, a non-profit organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of hospital patients. Pretty damn awesome. Who is Trevor “Trouble” Andrew, you ask? He’s a renowned artist known for his “Gucci Ghost” collaboration with—you guessed it—Gucci, and he’s also collaborated with Rolling Stones and 2 Chainz. The merch was available exclusively at the Citi Sound Vault pop-up experience. On the heels of the Grammy Awards this past Sunday, it was pretty incredible to experience such an unbelievable music experience—and one that is devoted to giving back, at that.
PLUS Pink Lemonade Gummies
Full disclosure: I know very little when it comes to edibles (or anything with THC in it, for that matter.) But! I have heard about PLUS, and I heard that they had gummies that are a mix of CBD and THC, for a lighter experience compared to all-THC. My friend tried this kind of gummy on a recent trip to Palm Springs, and she said they were really awesome and just the right amount of everything. Her description sold me on something that had otherwise been very intimidating to me. And once I heard that PLUS had pink lemonade flavored gummies that are 70/30 THC/CBD, I thought, OK, I can get on board with that! I would highly recommend these to anyone who is intimated by THC gummies, like me, but is into the whole CBD craze. Noted, these products do contain THC, so if that isn’t your ball of wax, I would stick to purely CBD. But, if you want a refreshing delightful mix of CBD and THC in a yummy gummy, I would highly recommend these.
Doodle Cat Mug
Here at HG, we stan a cat-themed kitchen item. So clearly I am coveting his darling “doodle cat mug” that comes with a matching spoon. My morning coffee just got ten times more adorable.
Maggie Louise Confections Coffee & Carbs Bundle
Do I believe in soulmates? Well, I believe in carbs. And this “coffee and carbs” chocolate set combines all of my favorite things. Ooooh I love carbs: toast, croissants, waffles, donuts, cornbread, a hot buttered dinner roll…give me all the carbs! And also chocolate. Give me all the chocolate.
Charlotte Tilbury The Pillow Talk Look
You don’t need a Sig. O. to enjoy this fabulous “Pillow Talk” collection from Charlotte Tilbury. You can get done up and hit the town with your partner, your best friend, your group of best friends, or you can hang at home and finally start watching You, because you’ve been meaning to, damnit, but there’s just so much prestige TV on these days. Anyway, I digress. I’m obsessed with this collection from Charlotte Tilbury, because she has one of my all-time favorite lipstick formulas and “Pillow Talk” is one of my all-time favorite colors. The Pillow Talk collection includes an eyeshadow palette, blusher, lip liner and lipstick. That’s a lotta bang for yer buck, I’d say.
Rosé All Day Wine
It’s Valentine’s Day, so I’d be remiss if I didn’t include a fabulous rosé in this week’s roundup. I’m a big fan of Rosé All Day wine (my Secret Santa actually got it for me during our office holiday party this year!), and I’m also a big canned wine fan. I love canned wine because it’s so dang convenient and picnic-perfect. Whether you’re having a romantic dinner date or curling up with a good book this Valentine’s Day, either are amazing excuses to #roséallday, in my humble opinion.
