The ‘Walking Dead’ spin-off has a new, chilling trailer

We’re already on the edge of our seats in anticipation of the premiere of the Walking Dead spin-off.  Fear the Walking Dead —which is supposed to be set during the very beginning of the zombie apocalypse (aka, while Rick Grimes is in a coma in The Walking Dead — will take place many, many miles away from Atlanta, Georgia. This (parallel) time around, it’s Los Angeles that’s going to fear the walking dead.

The show will star Kim Dickens as Madison, a high school guidance counselor and single mother of two who finds herself facing the beginnings of the zombie takeover that so many of our favorite Walking Dead characters are surviving through now.

While we already had the chance to watch a teaser trailer with a creepy voiceover a couple months ago, this new trailer gives us the opportunity to see just a sneak peek at what’s to come (pretty scary things from the looks of it.)

In the clip, it’s kind of easy to understand Madison’s skepticism when she first hears the news that a mysterious virus is spreading through the country —presumably from one of her students. “You need to spend less time online,” she tells him. Oh, but little does she know what everyone is in for…

Fear the Walking Dead is scheduled to premiere on AMC in August 2015 — and we’re DYING to start watching it (yep, went there).
