This waitress was makeup-shamed by rude customers, and her response was perfection
For all the good behavior in the world, there are sometimes hiccups that leave us questioning our fellow humans. For example, we just heard that a couple rude teens makeup-shamed their waitress instead of leaving a tip, and that kind of treatment is just unacceptable.
Luckily, her response was perfect, restoring our faith in humanity.
A self-taught makeup artist known as Winged and Contoured on Instagram was at her waitressing job in Indiana when she served two teenagers who were surprised by the total on their bill. They asked to speak to the manager, who informed them that they would, in fact, need to pay for their meals in full and that they should have taken the cost of each item into account before ordering (you know, as you DO).
The teens eventually did pay, but they didn’t leave ANY tip. Instead, they scribbled a mean-spirited message on the receipt about their waitress’ makeup. “Here’s a tip: Contour is supposed to BLEND,” they wrote. Winged and Contoured knew better than to let the teens phase her, and instead she posted this for all the world to see.

It’s strong, self-assured women like Winged and Contoured who remind us that there are rays of light in the world. Winged took the high road and got the last laugh (because now the whole internet is cheering for her).
