Viola Davis’ daughter hacked her Instagram and adorableness happened
It’s been a whirlwind week for Viola Davis. Shortly before the premiere of the second season of her show, How To Get Away With Murder, the 50-year-old actress made history as the first black woman to win the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. She gave an incredibly stirring speech, in which she soberly pointed out that, “the only thing that separates women of color from anyone else is opportunity.”
But it seems that the actress hasn’t let Hollywood’s diversity issues put a damper on the joy in her life, the life she’s built with her husband Julius Tennon and their crazy adorable daughter, Genesis.
Thanks to Viola’s Instagram we also now have first hand proof of just how cute Genesis is. It seems Genesis hacked mommy’s Instagram to post the most adorable congratulations video ever. It’s also crystal clear that Viola Davis is not just a role model for us, she’s a role model for her daughter.
Davis also posted this pic of her 4-year-old daughter decked out in the jewelry she wore at the Emmys.
“Genesis posing with my Emmy Neil Lane jewels,” Davis wrote in the image caption. “Don’t know where she got that pose from. My baby!!!”
Meanwhile, the actress is preparing for tonight’s return of How To Get Away With Murder and shared yet another achievement on her Instagram: She’s the cover star of this week’s issue of Variety.
Congratulations, lady! Keep on making history! And Genesis, keep on hacking mommy’s Instagram.
