Today, Twitter shocked us with the news the Vine, the six-second video sharing service, will be shutting down. Vine launched to prominence in 2013, and with it came tons of new, short form video stars. Stars like Hayes and Nash Grier garnered millions of vines for silly videos, and now it’s over. As Twitter said in its announcement, the website will stay live, so users can view and download videos. But the news of the shut down is hitting the social media scene hard.
