His sister sadly passed away last May from a condition called hydronephrosis, which according to the Boston Children’s Hospital, sometimes occurs when urine backs up, or overfills into the kidney.

Samir shared the sweet video on Twitter, with the caption of “He’s only 4 years old and he understands. He didn’t even know he was being recorded. He just wanted to sing to her for her 1st birthday!” According to an article from The Huffington Post, the movie Cocorecently released by Disney — helped him cope and better understand the untimely passing of his sister.

The video quickly went viral, and according to the family, they were floored by the outpour of love for their family. We think this is just the perfect way to memorialize the sweet Ava Lynn. false
