This video is reminding us all how much we miss Heath Ledger

The world lost someone really special when Heath Ledger sadly passed away in 2008. Though he had made a name for himself in lots of movies already (10 Things I hate About You and A Knight’s Tale) his star was beginning to rise higher and higher thanks to his role in Brokeback Mountain. And then, his Oscar-winning performance in The Dark Knight.

He might be gone, but he will NEVER be forgotten.  There’s an old video of Ledger making the rounds of the Internet again, and according to BuzzFeed Australia it was filmed at the 2006 AFI awards. He’s in the middle of an interview, and it’s nothing out of the ordinary. But then in the background there’s a SCREAM.

It’s one of the star of Australia’s mother-daughter in suburbia show, Kath & Kim, Magda Szubanski completely freaking out— just was we all would if we found ourselves a few inches away from Ledger.

The scream noticeably startles Ledger, but he’s totally cool with it and starts laughing. He knows what’s going on. Then Szubanski (actually playing her Kath & Kim character on the red carpet, Sharon) starts screaming internally because Ledger walks over and KISSES HER.

It’s a testament to how smart, funny, outrageous and kind he was to both fans and fellow performers alike.
