Victoria Beckham followed this piece of strange beauty advice in order to get glowing skin

Victoria Beckham is one of those blessed celebs that look exactly the same as she did 20 years ago, if not even more beautiful! The woman does not age! We figured she’s been drinking the blood of innocents for years, but the truth is actually much more surprising. In an interview with Net-a-Porter’s The Edit, she gave the lowdown on her secret to her glowing skin.

"I used to have really problematic skin and [my dermatologist] said to me, 'You have to eat salmon every single day.' I said, 'Really, every day?' And he said, 'Yes; breakfast, lunch or dinner, you have to eat it every single day.'"

That’s a lot of salmon! Can’t she just take fish oil pills? Though, who are we to question her methods, she’s the one who looks amazing. So clearly she’s doing something right! Salmon is chock-full of omega-3 fatty acids, which are really, really great at keeping your skin soft and supple, so we’d definitely categorize it as a beauty food.

We really appreciate Victoria’s “inside-out” approach to beauty, because it doesn’t matter what products you load up on the outside of your skin if your insides aren’t doing so hot!

While we may not jump on the salmon-every-day train that has worked so well for Victoria, we can definitely see why it makes a difference for her skin and makes her feel so good.

It’s a nice reminder that beauty doesn’t have to be about having the latest, most expensive product, or looking Instagram-perfect 24/7, but about the basic tenets of self-care. Hydrating, taking vitamins, eating clean, and prioritizing skin health will not only make you look better, but feel better, too!
