Vanessa Hudgens just debuted the bluntest of bangs, and now we want them too
If you’ve shied away from getting blunt bangs since graduating from preschool, we’ve got a very strong case for you to reconsider the look as an adult: Vanessa Hudgens just debuted new bangs on Instagram, and even though they’re temporary, the look is totally chic and sophisticated.
Vanessa is never afraid to change up her mane, and we always look forward to checking out what epic and gorgeous new hairstyles she’ll try. The days of her long signature mermaid locks are long gone (though she brings ’em back out for Coachella, of course!) but she always has fun experimenting with her tresses.
Earlier this summer, Vanessa chopped off all her hair (twice!) but it seems she’s not done yet: She wanted to switch up her new bob by adding some bangs, and we looooove the end result.
Vanessa showed off her fresh style on Instagram, showing off her wavy, textured bob with eyebrow-grazing blunt bangs, captioning the pic “bangin’” — and we’d certainly agree.
Her longtime stylist Chad Wood gave her the bang clip-ins, giving an instant update to her super-short bob that proves how versatile shorter hair can be. She clarified via Instagram Stories that the bangs were “fake,” but we still totally love the look anyway.
Vanessa experimented with blunt bangs and a bob earlier this year, and while those were also fake, they were no less stunning and sophisticated.
Bangs can get a bad rap, but we’re fully on board with a bold fringe thanks to Vanessa’s sleek and stylish take. We just might have to grab the scissors…or maybe book an appointment with a stylist pronto.
