Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale have started a High School Musical social media dance party
Hey, guys. If you’re already starting to go crazy because you’re stuck inside self-quarantining, here’s a little reminder: We’re all in this together. And don’t take it from us. Take it from Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens.
Tisdale, who starred as Sharpay Evans in the High School Musical franchise, took to her social media accounts yesterday, March 16th, to remind us that we’re all going through the same thing. And she did so with one of the most iconic dance routines of this generation.
“If you need to work out while on #selfquarantine try this,” she wrote in the caption of her video. “Hopefully this will brighten your day a little!”
Decked out in full cozy-mode attire (a tie-dye sweatsuit, no makeup, hair up), Tisdale did the dance that took the Wildcats by storm at the end of the first High School Musical. And it’s utterly glorious.
Tisdale originally uploaded her video to TikTok before re-uploading it to Instagram, where it caught the eye of her former HSM castmate Vanessa Hudgens. And, uh, Hudgens did her own unique spin on the iconic choreography.
“Well. It’s come to this,” she captioned her “duet” with Tisdale. “Lol @ashleytisdale maybe I start getting into tik tok? Username is vanessahudgens not vanessahudgens0 okay byeeee.”
Tisdale commented, “You should have done the dance!!” And yeah, we agree. However, in the current state we’re in, we can definitely relate more to Hudgen’s rendition.
The gauntlet has been thrown, in our opinion. Zac? Corbin? Lucas? Anyone else of High School Musical fame wish to recreate the dance to end all dances? We’re waiting—and we literally have all day.
