“Vanderpump Rules” is reportedly getting a top-secret spin-off with two of your faves
Because today is Monday and you needed this — needed this to be the best day of our lives — know that Vanderpump Rules is reportedly filming a spin-off with two of your faves.
And no, we don’t mean Lala Kent and DJ James “White Kanye” Kennedy.
TMZ reports that filming is already underway for a spin-off about the lives of Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright in — get this — her native rural Kentucky.
According to the outlet’s sources, the focus of the show will be “Brittany’s family pressuring her to get hitched to the Vanderpump bad boy,” which we all know will be about as easy as prying the tequila out of Katie Maloney-Schwartz’s cold, dead hands, getting Ariana Madix to laugh at one of Kristen Doute’s jokes, or convincing Tom Sandoval to vacation somewhere he can’t bring his hair straightener.
“Bravo has one big fear…that they won’t be together by the time this thing airs in the summer,” TMZ concludes.
Taylor and Cartwright are yet to address these rumors on their social media accounts, but since Taylor is currently preparing for an appearance on Watch What Happens Live following tonight’s episode, there’s a good chance we’ll hear more news straight from the source very soon.
For what it’s worth, with Pump Rules itself being a very successful spin-off of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills — and with much of the cast settling down a bit as they enter their ’30s and their fifth season — this spin-off sounds like a safe bet and, of course, a good time.
Given the fights they’ve already had this season, about everything from marriage to Taylor being a sexist brute (he not only paid for Cartwright’s breast implants, he pressured her to go to a bigger size than she was comfortable with, and has recently been getting on her case for not making him enough sandwiches which, ugh, isn’t funny even if it’s just for the sake of TV) we’re sure the drama down in Kentucky will be wackier — and more watchable — than ever.
