We have some serious ‘Vampire Diaries’ news (and more from The CW)

January might be a ways off yet, but the CW has just dropped their winter primetime line-up, so you can plan your TV viewing. It includes a new show, a season premiere, and two of your favorites moving to a whole new night.

First, let’s get your faves sorted. The Vampire Diaries and The Originals will be airing back-to-back on Friday nights as of January 29. So basically, your Thursday night Vampire Diaries viewing party is getting the boot. And now your Friday night is going to be booked for a while. Look, going out on Friday is overrated anyway.

The 100 will also be returning for a new season, airing on Thursdays at 9 starting January 21. Nothing like a little post-apocalyptic excitement to get you ready for your weekend!

The CW also has a new show, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, which will run before The 100 on Thursdays. The show gets the network in on the growing superhero game, with time-traveler Rip Hunter putting together a team of heroes to stop the apocalypse. Basically, your Thursday is going to get pretty intense.

Here’s a cheat sheet, complete with premiere dates:

THURSDAY, JANUARY 21 8-9 PM DC’S Legends Of Tomorrow 9-10 PM The 100

FRIDAY, JANUARY 29 8-9 PM The Vampire Diaries 9-10 PM The Originals

Happy viewing!
