Uzo Aduba, our queen, took her high school prom date to the SAG Awards
Throwback Thursday came early for Orange Is The New Black star Uzo Aduba, who brought her high school prom date to the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Saturday. Turns out the actress, who ended up winning Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series, is also an outstanding friend as well.
The man in question, Mark Crowley, has been friends with Uzo since kindergarten. He asked her to prom in high school and, all these years later, she decided to return the favor.
The nostalgia continued for Uzo who, when giving her acceptance speech, spoke to the young aspiring actors and actresses who hope to follow in her footsteps:
Thankfully, the actress had people like Mark by her side supporting her. Congratulations, Uzo!
