Hear this unreleased Kurt Cobain track right here, right now
When the Kurt Cobain documentary Montage of Heck premiered on HBO earlier this year, we thought we’d been treated to every secret Nirvana relic the world had to offer. How wrong we were, though.
In light of the documentary’s theatrical re-release, director Brett Morgen has included an untitled and previously unreleased Kurt Cobain solo track, which can be heard during the film’s closing credits. Thanks to a movie-going fan, cell phone recording of the track has been uploaded to YouTube for all to hear. Between the demo quality and the audio of the cell phone footage, the track is a bit muddy, but rest assured, you can hear Kurt Cobain trying his hand at a few falsettos.
The Kurt Cobain solo album is set for release on November 6th (the same day of the documentary’s DVD release). Until then, you can reignite your Nirvana flame with the cell phone footage below.
