People were shocked by these bonkers high Uber surge prices

New Year’s Eve is probably the biggest party night of the year (If there’s a bigger one, please let us know so we can pencil it in.) There’s typically a lot of drinking that goes down with ringing in the new year, so a lot of people opt for Ubering instead of driving themselves. We totally applaud these responsible choices! Unfortunately, a lot of these awesome folks woke up yesterday to a nasty surprise. Not a hangover, (they probably saw that coming) but the staggering amount of their Uber bill from the night before.

To be fair, the company did post a warning on social media advising customers to estimate their travel cost in advance.
