Tyra Banks just topped this important TV list, so she has a reason to smize
From America’s Next Top Model to America’s Got Talent, Tyra Banks has always been our favorite TV personality. But now there’s concrete proof that she’s everyone’s. And it makes total sense. With appearances on ’90s and early 2000s classics like the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and the Disney Channel Original Movie Life-Size, the supermodel has been ruling our TV screens for over 20 years!
Banks just took the lead on Hollywood Reporter’s Top TV Personalities chart.
The chart is put together with social media analytics data collected from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus. Basically, the analytics company, called MVPindex, combines social engagement with new followers/subscribers each week.
And Tyra Banks is on top.
The second top personality is Joanna Gaines from HGTV’s Fixer Upper. She skyrocketed up the list after a single Facebook post announcing her and her husband Chip Gaines’s new Target home collection, Hearth & Hand with Magnolia, went viral. (The line also has a charitable tie-in with St. Jude’s Target House.)
It’s not the first time that Banks and Gaines have topped this chart either — this is the fourth time they’ve been at the top of this list, at number 1 and number 2, respectively.
Who else is on the list? There’s Gordon Ramsey, from The F Word, at number 3. The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon‘s host comes in at number 4, and at number 5, it’s Trevor Noah from The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. Stephen Colbert from The Late Show with Stephen Colbert comes in at number 6, and Chris Hayes, of All In With Chris Hayes, is number 7. The list finishes with Bill Maher (Real Time With Bill Maher), Steve Harvey (Family Feud), Mike Rowe (Deadliest Catch).
With the America’s Got Talent finale airing last week, and Banks returning to host America’s Next Top Model for the upcoming season, this is great news.
Tyra, you always wanted to be on top, and now, you are!
