Tyra Banks and Chrissy Teigen went makeup free on TV and we love it
Earlier this week, FabLife co-hosts Tyra Banks and Chrissy Teigen joined their team for a “Nude Show.” No, they didn’t bare it all for the episode. Instead, they stripped all the makeup off for an au-natural look.
“This is your FABLife nude show, and I’m about to show you what real nudity on your face looks like,” Banks said before hosts Lauren Makk and Leah Ashley joined them in revealing their makeup free faces.
Banks and Teigen have both been long-time advocates for more realistic beauty standards, and have spoken out against the common use of Photoshop and totally messed up beauty norms. They’ve both posted makeup free selfies, as well.
As Teigen said on the show, “We’ve forgotten what normal people look like now. The standard is so ridiculous.”
Of course, makeup is a personal choice, and wearing it is great if it makes you feel empowered. But seeing super style icons like Banks and Teigen embrace their own uncontoured and unhighlighted faces is also a source of empowerment. So next time you’re thinking about skipping the eyeliner and foundation for a makeup-free day, just remember you’re not alone.
