This Twitter user has been turning headlines into new verses for “We Didn’t Start the Fire” for TWO YEARS

When something works, you should probably keep it going forever.

At least that seems to be the motto for Aaron Fullerton, a TV writer who has created one epic Twitter thread.

Fullerton has been turning headlines into new verses for “We Didn’t Start the Fire.”

His original tweet reads, “I feel like the main point of Twitter is to just keep adding verses to ‘We Didn’t Start The Fire.’”

He obviously has a point, because the Billy Joel song is so historically significant, it only makes sense to continue adding to the significance of the song as world events continue to happen.

Also, the main point of Fullerton’s Twitter seems to now be to do just that — continue adding lyrics to the song forever.

Since his original tweet on October 30, 2014, Fullerton, along with SO many other people, have responded with bonus “We Didn’t Start the Fire” lyrics, and it’s truly magical and 100% relevant.

The thread has been going on for TWO WHOLE YEARS. And it’s continuing to happen.

That’s some serious dedication to Twitter, to lyrics, to current events, and to Billy Joel.

Fullerton was a writer for Chasing Life, Graceland and is currently writing for American Gothic. But if, for some reason, his TV writing career comes to an end, he definitely could have a career in simply writing Billy Joel lyrics.

We’d hire him.
