Twitter debuts a “Stranger Things” filter and it’s pretty freaky
Our obsession with Strange Things just went up a notch. Maybe inspired by Snapchat, Twitter tried out a new feature on Sunday night: video filters, starting with Stranger Things-themed blinking lights that dissolve into the upside down.
The breakout child stars of the Netflix-original show ruled the Emmy’s last night, rocking the red carpet, having an unabashedly good time, and even performing a killer rendition of Uptown Funk at the Emmy’s pre-show. And somewhere along the way, they found the time to give the Twitter filters a test run.
Caleb McLaughlin, known for playing young Simba on Broadway’s Lion King before his turn as Lucas on Stranger Things, showed off his smashing bedazzled satin tie and custom-made suit.

Gaten Matarazzo, also of Broadway (having played Benji in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and Gavroche in Les Misérables (kid can SING) before becoming Dustin on Stranger Things) couldn’t contain his excitement about the night, before the upside down swallowed him up.

Meanwhile, British television star Millie Brown (otherwise known as Stranger Things’ Eleven), tweeted another vid of Caleb using the filter.

She was too busy making new friends to do it herself:

Turns out all three of them can sing. And dance. We’re floored.

These young actors are crazy talented. Obvs we’re insanely excited for Season 2 of Stranger Things, but we also can’t wait to watch where Gaten, Millie and Caleb’s careers go.
