Twitter is SHOOK because of *that* Luke Skywalker line in “The Last Jedi” teaser

Unless you’ve been living under a rock (even one that’s been levitated), you know that the highly anticipated trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi was unveiled TODAY. The trailer made a splashy debut during The Last Jedi panel at the 2017 Star Wars Celebration in Orlando.

Along with moderator and Star Wars superfan Josh Gad, writer/director Rian Johnson, LucasFilm president Kathleen Kennedy, and cast members Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Mark Hamill, and newcomer Kelly Marie Tran were on hand to debut the trailer. Fans went wild, seeing their favorite characters back on the big screen.

The trailer had everything and nothing at the same time. It gave us the real return of Luke (with a speaking role!), Rey’s Jedi training, the image of a dashing Poe Dameron *literally* running with BB-8 to his X-wing, Finn in a coma, the Millennium Falcon flying, intense battles, and Kylo Ren looking angsty. However, the trailer didn’t answer many of our biggest questions, instead giving us so many more.

At the end of the trailer, Luke says something that has us ~seriously~ concerned. He says, “It’s time for the jedi to end.”

Luke, you’re saying what, now?

Naturally Twitter is in a tizzy trying to get to the bottom of this. Here are some of the best reactions to Luke’s line:
