This trending Twitter hashtag is making us think about gratitude
I was recently checking Twitter when I noticed that #ItsWorthLivingFor was trending. As it’s not the typical newsy term that I normally see on the left sidebar of the website (read: politics, plane crashes, etc.), I gave it the ol’ clickity click to see what it was about. It’s pretty much exactly what you’d think — people tweeting the things in their life they deem are worth living for.
Some of the tweets are funny:

I like the sentiment behind this hashtag — it’s an exercise in gratitude, in thoughtfulness, and in humility. It got me thinking about what my #ItsWorthLivingFor tweets would look like. I’ve made a little list below, and you’re all welcome to do the same and to join in the conversation on Twitter.
My things that are worth living for:
—my dogs are delightful, and they need me as much as I need them
—I like my job, and I’m thankful to work in an industry I enjoy
—peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
—my partner and I love and support each other
—I finally live in a place where I can watch the seasons change
—my friends and family are loving and kind
—decaf coffee almost tastes like regular, and doesn’t give me a headache
—I’m learning to love my body
—I’m learning to love myself
There are more things added to this list every day, and I don’t ever want to put a period at the end of it. #ItsWorthLivingFor this list.
