A Tumblr user reimagined Disney movies with LGBTQ-friendly plotlines
Unlike the early days of Disney movies, the movie studio has attempted to be more inclusive in recent years. One thing they haven’t tackled, however, is an LGBTQ-friendly plotline. Not one princess has fallen for another princess (or even a female commoner), and zero princes have midnight kissed another dude. It just hasn’t happened. Until now. Kinda.
One super talented and creative person on Tumblr decided to take things into her own hands by editing together various Disney movie GIFS to make them LGBTQ friendly. So, technically Disney has nothing to do with any of it, but we can dream. Thanks to Tumblr user dopebeauty, we get to see Disney princes and princesses get together with their same-sex loves, and it’s the absolute best. Not all of the endings are happy, however, but that’s life, you guys.
Be prepared to be super wowed by the spot-on technicality of the editing. If we didn’t know they were edits, we’d be convinced Disney had a major change of heart.

Such talent! We love them and hope to see more. With the legalization of same-sex marriage in the U.S., now would be an excellent time for Disney to feature some LGBTQ lead characters. Here’s hoping one day Disney happy endings will be made for everyone.
