ICYMI: #TrumpYourCat is exactly what you think it is

Of all the things Donald Trump is known for—and there are plenty of things—his hair is the first that comes to mind for many of us. So when cats started doing their hair in his trademark combover fashion (OK, people started doing it to their cats), the hashtag #trumpyourcat was inevitable. It’s pretty much exactly what you’d expect — people take photos of their cats wearing hairpieces that resemble Trump’s hair-do and then post them to social media. But it’s not as easy as just throwing a wig on your cat. There are specific steps you’ll need to take in order to achieve the spot-on Trump hairpiece cat impersonation perfection. The Instagram page @trumpyourcat breaks it down:

“1. Brush your cat

2. Form the hair you brushed into a toupee

3. Place toupee on cat

4. Share and tag @trumpyourcat, DM or #trumpyourcat”

For those of you who don’t have access to a cat, don’t fret. ##trumpyourcat is not just for cats. People have been Trumping their dogs, hamsters and horses — and all of it is so fantastic to look at. Not all of the animals look thrilled about it, but that’s OK because Trump hair isn’t permanent, at least for pets.

Here’s a look at some of the adorable animals channeling Trump in a major way:

Now that you’ve seen a bunch of cats with Trump wigs, carry on with your day.
