Donald Trump Jr. tweeted about Hillary Clinton’s surprise Grammy appearance, cannot even use the right Grammy hashtag
During Sunday night’s Grammy Awards, host James Corden’s gags were generally a hit, but there was one moment that completely shocked the audience and millions of viewers at home. The telecast featured a pre-taped segment in which Corden attempts to find the right voice to narrate the audiobook edition of Michael Wolff’s explosive book Fire and Fury — yes, that book on the Trump administration.
Corden enlisted John Legend, Cardi B, Snoop Dogg, and Cher to read excerpts from the book. Cute, right? But then Hillary Clinton appeared, and the world gasped — and generally speaking, people thought her cameo was hilarious.
But it seems not everyone was feeling it. In fact, semi-propaganda tweeter and definitely-not-a-criminal Donald Trump Jr. took to Twitter to share his thoughts on Clinton’s Fire and Fury cameo…and it’s about as much as you would expect from him.
Getting to read a #fakenews book excerpt at the Grammys seems like a great consolation prize for losing the presidency. #GrammyAwards

The more Hillary goes on television the more the American people realize how awesome it is to have @realDonaldTrump in office #GrammyAwards2018

What a…umm, #hottake? And I’m not trying to start something, but for starters, the supposed businessman’s hashtag consistency was definitely a bit off, considering he used two different hashtags — and neither of them were the promoted Grammys hashtag. Come on, Don Jr., you’re a Trump! Aren’t you of all people supposed to have a basic understanding of branding? Finally, not to be shady but the pandering to Dad is getting embarrassingly obvious.
But Trump Jr. wasn’t the only one with this response to the Fire and Fury short. The U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, claimed her entire Grammys experience was ruined by Clinton’s ~evil~ political stunt. Haley added that she was disappointed to see the Grammys delve into politics because, “Some of us love music without the politics thrown in it.”
I disagree. That part ruined the Grammys. Such a shame.

I have always loved the Grammys but to have artists read the Fire and Fury book killed it. Don’t ruin great music with trash. Some of us love music without the politics thrown in it.

Frankly, I’m very curious to see the Grammys telecast she was watching last night. Surely not the 60th Grammys at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, where Kendrick Lamar kicked things off with a very politically charged performance, Camila Cabello gave a passionate speech about DREAMers, and Logic closed the show was a speech aimed directly at Donald Trump. Does this mean the Grammys will be joining the 128 countries on her shit list??

While it seems Don Jr. and Haley weren’t on board for this sketch, we thought it was the perfect mix of hilarious and shady.
