Shared by Twitter user @Fuctupmind (sounds legit… *eye roll*) and retweeted by POTUS, the animated GIF spliced together two clips — one of Trump swinging a golf club, and another of former Secretary of State Clinton tripping and falling as she boarded an airplane in 2011 — and edited them to appear as though Clinton was hit in the back by Trump’s golf ball before she fell.

But Twitter was having none of it, with many viewing the tweet as yet another example of Trump’s deep-seated misogyny and a blatant endorsement of violence against Clinton and women in general.

It’s no surprise that the troll-in-chief’s Twitter attack on Clinton comes on the heels of the release of her new (and sure to be best-selling) book, What Happened. Offering her first-hand account of her historical bid as the first woman nominee for president of the United States, as well as her jaw-dropping defeat, the attention — and love! — being heaped on Clinton is no doubt driving the notoriously narcissistic Trump up the Oval Office walls with jealousy.
But for her part, the always graceful-under-pressure Clinton seems to be taking it all in stride.
