Cheating Ex Tristan Thompson Wants Khloé Kardashian Back, Says Source
The basketball player bought a $12.5 million mansion two doors down from her to be extra close.
Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson have been exes for a few years now, but the father of True Thompson is still convinced he and the reality TV star can rekindle their notoriously on-again, off-again relationship.
A source revealed to Us Weekly that the NBA player “hasn’t completely given up hope” on winning his ex-fiancé back, and hopes his dad skills will help smooth over infidelity issues from their tumultuous past.

Thompson recently ponied up $12.5 million for a home in Hidden Hills, CA, which is less than a mile from Kardashian’s own $17 million mansion. Images shared by The Daily Mail show that the homes are located practically on the same block, in the same neighborhood as Kris Jenner, too.
“Tristan is thrilled about having his own place so close to Khloé so he can visit her and the kids as often as possible,” the source revealed. “He is so happy he was able to find a home right around the corner from them because they’re his priority. He just wants to be there for his kids.”
Kardashian and Thompson have been trying to keep the co-parenting as easy as possible, especially in light of their relationship’s hurtful past. The basketball player was spotted at his daughter’s lavish fifth birthday on Apr. 2, and both Kardashian and Jenner posted touching tributes to him on his birthday back in mid-March.
However, he’s not entirely off the hook for putting the star of The Kardashians through several cheating incidents, including a paternity scandal that broke them for good back in June 2021.
Kardashian was a recent guest on The Jennifer Hudson Show, where she confirmed that she is not currently dating anyone. She was quick to announce that she’s still “single” after rumors swirled when she and Thompson were seen at a McDonald’s drive-thru together.
She’s also not in a rush to get back out there. When asked if she’s having any luck finding true love on dating apps, she replied, “I haven’t yet…I don’t want to say never because who knows where I’ll be next year, but as of now I haven’t yet.”
Along with True and a baby boy born via surrogate in 2021, Thompson is also father to Prince Oliver, a son whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig. In January 2022, he also admitted to being the father of fitness model Maralee Nichols’s son Theo, whom she alleges was conceived while Thompson and Kardashian were still romantically involved.
Thompson is not involved with Theo’s life, and may still have yet to meet him, according to those close to Nichols. But while a renewed relationship with Kardashian is likely not in his future, the Us Weekly source admitted “that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been trying.”
It seems like he has the long game in mind. “He knows they’re always going to be in each other’s lives because of their children,” the source added. “At this point, he feels like all he can do is be the best father to their kids that he can and show Khloé over time that he’s there for their family.”
