The trailer for Marvel’s new Freeform show “Cloak and Dagger” is here, and oh the drama

More Marvel?! Yes, please. In between creating new movies and their comics, Marvel is somehow finding time to make yet another  TV show for Freeform. And Cloak & Dagger just dropped their first trailer giving us a peek at what we can expect from the series. Let’s jump into it.

Marvel’s upcoming foray into teen superhero dramas will be on Freeform (*reminder* it used to be called ABC Family) and judging by the trailer, the series will be heavy on teen angst and parental complications. And honestly, the basic premise for the show is a perfect set up for lots of drama!

Here’s the official synopsis from the Marvel press release:

“Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger is the story of Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph) – two teenagers from very different backgrounds, who find themselves burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers which are mysteriously linked to one another."

In the trailer, we get to see the characters meet and begin to discover just what their superpowers mean in their lives. And how will they work together while managing all of those teenage *feels*?! I guess we’ll just have to wait and see but there’s already some serious tension here.

Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger won’t be on Freeform until ~early 2018~, but there’s still plenty to get excited about. And you can always get a head start by checking out the comics that the show is based on. It’s basically like doing your TV homework.
