The first trailer for ‘Empire’ season 2 is here and it’s all about the power

Feast on this Empire fans.

Fox just dropped a 30-second teaser for the second season and all we can say is YASSSSS! There’s a new track in said trailer that teases, “It ain’t about the money, it’s about the power,” and Cookie is looking fresh as ever as she preps to assume control of the family business. Spoiler alert: It looks like it might be a little bit about the money.

It’s hard to tell from the short clip, but it seems like everybody is forming new alliances while Lucious is in prison. (PS Lucious is also sporting a new short cut.) Cookie visits him in jail, and then even ends up behind bars. (But don’t worry, she’s holding a mic!)

Until the fall premiere, just set “Drip Drop” on repeat and wait patiently for our favorite dysfunctional power family to return September 23rd on FOX.
