These are the top-selling holiday songs of all time, so you can officially get in the holiday spirit

It’s that time of year. Thanksgiving and Black Friday are behind us. It’s now *officially* seasonally appropriate to bust out the winter holiday decor, seasonal beverages, and, of course, the festive tunes. Break out the Spotify playlists and the speaker systems, because we have for you a conclusive list of the top-selling holiday songs.
Though it’s clear that, year after year, some holiday classics are played on the radio far more often than others during the month of December, Billboard came through and actually deduced which among them are statistically the most popular. Using Nielsen Music data, which reports sales information and has been tracking digital sales since 2003, Billboard figured out that these are the 10 holiday faves that have been downloaded the most often over the past 13 years.
10. “Last Christmas,” Wham! (1984)

This ’80s classic might be one of the most-covered songs ever. Oddly, it’s *super* popular in particular among Nickelodeon and Disney Channel former child stars branching out into music careers. Ashley Tisdale, The Cheetah Girls, Ariana Grande, Miranda Cosgrove, and Hilary Duff have all recorded versions of the tune. But the original version by English duo Wham!, written and produced by George Michael, is still the bar against which all others are measured. For good reason.
9. “Jingle Bell Rock,” Bobby Helms (1957)

An oldie but goodie, “Jingle Bell Rock” is the undeniably catchy Christmas song that’s been popular pretty much ever since it was first recorded in 1957. Of course, it also made its way into one of Mean Girls’ most iconic scenes.
8. “Feliz Navidad,” Jose Feliciano (1970)

Another oft-covered Christmas tune, “Feliz Navidad’s” super simple refrain has made it one of the most enduring (and dance-y) holiday songs ever.
7. “Where Are You Christmas?” Faith Hill (2000)

Where would we be without a good ol’ fashioned sad Christmas ballad? You can’t exactly dance to “Where Are You Christmas?” but it’s been consistently popular (and very often downloaded) since it debuted in 2000’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
The version recorded for the official movie soundtrack – and not the Taylor Momsen/Cindy Lou Who version from the film – ranks among the most-downloaded Christmas songs ever. Who knew that an all-green Jim Carrey wouldn’t be the most enduring part of that movie?
Fun fact! Actual Christmas song-writing genius Mariah Carey co-wrote a longer and different version of this song. Because of a legal case with her ex, the version that she sang couldn’t be released, so it was re-recorded and released in the form we know today by Faith Hill.
6. “Christmas Canon,” Trans-Siberian Orchestra (1998)

Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s children’s choir-led reimagining of Pachelbel’s Canon in D major is mega-popular and probably always will be. It’s not every rock group who can take an orchestral classic and make it their own.
5. “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” Brenda Lee (1958)

This is another favorite for stars’ holiday albums, with everyone from She & Him to Bella Thorne recording a cover of the fun ’50s rock-and-roll style song. But in terms of downloads, none come close to touching Brenda Lee’s original jaunty version.
Fun fact! Brenda Lee was just 13 years old when she first recorded “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.” Can you imagine having a singing voice like that at only 13?
4. “Mistletoe,” Justin Bieber (2011)

Pretty much anything Bieber touched at that point in his career would’ve turned to gold. “Mistletoe” was the first single off of Bieber’s first Christmas album. Unsurprisingly, the ridiculously catchy acoustic number went multi-platinum in the United States.
3. “Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24),” Trans-Siberian Orchestra (1996)

Another Trans-Siberian Orchestra hit, “Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24)” was from Christmas Eve and Other Stories, the first installment of their Christmas Trilogy.
2. “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” Kristen Bell, Agatha Lee Monn & Katie Lopez (2013)

Like most songs from Frozen, this rather depressing song sung by Anna at various ages became instantly popular upon the movie’s release. It’s currently the second-most downloaded holiday song.
1. “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” Mariah Carey (1994)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXQViqx6GMY?feature=oembed
Unsurprisingly, Mariah and her legendary pipes crush any and all competition. According to Billboard, the #2 song “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” ranks at 1.6 million downloads to date. Well, Mariah’s ridiculously fun “All I Want For Christmas Is You” is holding strong at 3.2 million to date. The more-than-20-year-old classic is only getting more popular with age.
