OMG: Too Faced is enlisting beauty vlogger Jackie Aina to expand its foundation shade range
A lot of makeup brands cater to lighter foundation shades, completely overlooking the needs of women with deeper skin tones. While this connects to deeper issues of institutionalized racism, many brands are taking steps to correct it. Much to our delight, Too Faced teamed up with beauty blogger Jackie Aina to create more shades for its Born This Way Foundation collection. This is an ideal partnership that will no doubt produce some much-needed expansion to the line.
Currently, we still don’t have details on what shades (or how many) will be added to the Too Faced foundation line, but we have a feeling the news will spill sooner than later.
After all, Jerrod Blandino is the king of gratuitous product teasers.
We DO know that Jackie will not only be helping develop the shades, but she’ll get a say in their names as well!
There are so many fun possibilities. Also, we love that she announced the partnership on her birthday. Based on her post, it looks like we can expect new shades within the year.
There are currently 24 shades of Born This Way Foundation ($39), and we can’t wait to see what comes next.
Earlier this year, Too Faced expanded its foundation and concealer range, so it will be exciting to see this line grow.
