This toddler chose a local personal injury lawyer as his birthday theme

Remember when you were tiny and you were OBSESSED with dinosaurs/princesses/train/the concept of glitter/whatever? New Orleans toddler Grayson has an obsession too, it’s local personal injury lawyer Morris Bart, whose commercials Grayson can NOT get enough of.

“Before he could walk or talk, every time the Morris Bart commercial would come on, he was just fixated,” his mother L’erin Dobra explained to The Advocate. “You couldn’t talk to him. You couldn’t do anything with him. He would just sit and stare at the TV. You could call his name, give him a toy. He didn’t care. He just wanted to watch the Bart commercial. He’s been that way ever since, and when he started talking he would say, ‘One call’ or ‘Bart, Bart, Bart, Morris Bart, Morris Bart.’”

So, of course, when it came time to plan Grayson’s 2nd birthday party, it was clear that this was going to be a Morris Bart-themed party or bust. Here’s what the cake looked like:

And what’s a theme party without a costume and a cardboard-cut out of your favorite character?  Here’s Grayson in his Morris Bart t-shirt posing next to his personal hero:

Yes, that is an autographed picture of Bart in the lower righthand corner. Bart was unable to attend Grayson’s party (we think he’s going to have to make up for that at Grayson’s 3rd birthday), but he did send gifts, including the aforementioned picture, some keychains, and a New Orleans Pelicans shirt.

So did the party help Grayson get Bart out of his system. Well… not according to his mom.

“He still loves his Morris Bart shirt,” Dobra told The Advocate. “If you put it on him, you’d better not try to take it off. He will throw a fit. He has his two photos on the nightstand, and he likes to give Morris Bart a kiss goodnight sometimes. He is literally obsessed with Morris Bart.”
