Today we celebrate all the adorable mixed breed dogs out in the world! Since we already love everything about all dogs, it seems only appropriate that we take some time to show off these adorable dog pictures.
Although obviously all dogs are adorable, mutts statistically don’t get adopted as often in shelters. Because of this, National Mutt Day was started in 2005 by Celebrity Pet & Family Lifestyle Expert, Colleen Paige to bring awareness to the plight of mixed breed dogs.
So check out some of these cutie pies below! Maybe they’ll inspire you to consider adopting a mixed-breed cuddly companion from your local shelter.
And here more good news: National Mutt Day is also observed on December 2 (because mutts totally deserve more than one holiday), so look out for more sweet pictures in the winter!
