Today in aww: Kelly Clarkson welcomes baby boy!

Kelly Clarkson may have said goodbye to her American Idol family earlier this month, but she recently said hello to a brand new addition to her family with husband Brandon Blackstock: a healthy baby boy named Remington Alexander Blackstock! Remington was born on April 12th, and joins big sister River Rose, who was born on June 12, 2014. Looks like 12 might be a lucky number for Kelly.

Kelly announced this pregnancy during a show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles back in August, shortly after singing her emotional song “Piece by Piece.” Her husband, Brandon, is a talent manager and a pilot (yes, a real pilot!) with two children from a previous marriage, Seth and Savannah. Kelly and Brandon tied the knot back in 2013, and took the most beautiful wedding photos of all time.

While Kelly looked absolutely glowing, she admitted that both pregnancies weren’t the easiest. “I just get hospitalized, and I have to get fluids. It’s just, like, my body was not made to be pregnant,” she said to Australia’s KIIS FM in a recent interview, stating that with two kids and two step-kids, she’s happy with the size of the Blackstock family moving forward. “This will be our number four total, so we’re good.”

Many congratulations to Kelly! And, Remington? If you’re even half as musically talented as your amazing Mom, we’ll be looking out for your album releases in the future!
