This ‘To All the Boys 3’ Sneak Peek Will Have You Worried for Lara Jean and Peter

Yesterday, June 30th, Noah Centineo and Lana Condor went live on YouTube to raise money for a handful of Black Lives Matter organizations fighting back against police brutality and systematic racism through Centineo’s organization Favored Nations. As the stars of the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy announced last week, they read a scene from their upcoming (and final) film of the franchise—Always and Forever, Lara Jean—and we’re now worried about the fate of Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky.

At the 53-minute mark of their hour-long live stream, Centineo and Condor dove into a scene set at the diner. “Let’s see what you guys can pull from this scene,” Centineo teased before calling “action.”

We’ll set the scene: After Peter places an order for blueberry pancakes and Lara Jean simply requests two forks (she’s “not really hungry”), it’s clear there’s some one-sided tension between the couple. Then, Lara Jean pulls the “Peter, there’s something I need to tell you” line before Peter excitedly cuts her off to ask for whipped cream. He also notes that he’s thrilled Lara Jean “got in,” most likely alluding to a college acceptance.

But before Lara Jean gets a chance to say what she wants to say, Peter issues her a heartfelt promposal. 

Of course Lara Jean accepts his invitation to the prom, but whatever she had to say obviously doesn’t fit in the new atmosphere Peter created. So, she sweeps it under the rug to preserve the moment.

Needless to say, we’re freaking the freak out and need to find out what happens to Lara Jean and Peter in the upcoming and final To All The Boys flick. Readers of the Jenny Han novels of the same name know what’s coming—but for the rest of us, no spoilers, please.
