T.J. Miller has been arrested for allegedly making a false bomb threat, and no one should be allowed to behave like this

Here’s something completely unacceptable. A little more than three months after former Silicon Valley actor T.J. Miller was publicly accused of sexual assault, he’s facing legal trouble for allegedly calling in a fake bomb threat last month, according to new reports.

The Hollywood Reporter claims T.J. Miller was arrested in New York Monday night, April 9th, for “intentionally conveying to law enforcement false information about an explosive device on a train traveling to Connecticut.”

Not many details have been released at this point, but THR cites the United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut as having confirmed that Miller was taken into custody at LaGuardia Airport Monday. He then appeared before a Connecticut district judge on Tuesday, April 10th, the site said. Miller was reportedly released on a $100,000 bond. And his charge could mean up to five years in prison.

Neither T.J. Miller nor his reps have commented on the arrest at this point.

Back in December, a woman told The Daily Beast that Miller had sexually and physically assaulted her years earlier — encounters she later reported to George Washington University campus police. Miller and his wife released a statement denying the accusations. After news of the allegations broke, at least two other women shared stories of aggressive encounters they say they had with Miller.

Miller, who left Silicon Valley last year, was replaced as the Mucinex spokesperson in the wake of the allegations, but he’s still reportedly set to make an appearance in Deadpool 2. In December, Comedy Central announced The Gorburger Show, a puppet-based comedy Miller created and voiced, had been canceled the same day the initial allegations against Miller broke, though the network says the decision to end the series had actually been made months earlier.
