Tiny Fey claims she made up the 30 Rock reboot rumor because she’s “thirsty for attention”
It seems like a ton of our favorite shows are getting reboots these days. So can a 30 Rock reboot be next? Well, according to Tina Fey, bringing Liz Lemon back to television might actually be a possibility.
The rumor started thanks to the debut of Mean Girls on Broadway. While on the red carpet, someone asked Fey if a reboot of her popular show was in the cards. Fey responded with a “maybe?” She’s a smart lady. She knew exactly what she was doing.
“A little bit of that is on me. I must be so thirsty for internet attention,” Fey joked to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show on April 19th. “It’s either say yes to stuff like that or I have to walk around CVS holding Poise pads trying to get in ‘Stars, They’re Just Like Us.’ So thirsty for attention.”
Hey, at least she’s honest. However, this new revelation certainly doesn’t mean she hasn’t thought about it for real.
“Who knows? Robert Carlock and I would never do a straight reboot because that’d be too easy,” she admitted.
We love this answer. Even though she’s mega-famous and super successful and could probably retire to her own private island at this point, it’s obvious that Fey is only interested in putting her best work out there and is still up for a challenge.

Her current ideas for a potential reboot are certainly creative (i.e apossible prequel, “Muppet Babies-style,” or a dystopian future with “a lot of robot sex”). Basically, while nothing is in the works just yet, it seems like Fey’s not against the idea of bringing 30 Rock back…and that makes us want to high five a million angels.
